Manchester City and Ivorian midfielder, Yaya Toure, has signed a new contract with the club.
Yaya Toure’s Manchester City career under Pep Guardiola started in a controversial manner as he was omitted from the team’s Champions League team and this led to stark criticism from his agent directed at the manager. But fought his way back into the team and was a regular feature for the side towards the end of the season and helped the team in securing a UEFA Champions League spot.
However, in spite of his resurgence in the team, there were still feelings that he will join the long list of players who have left the club this summer. But it seems Pep Guardiola is really impressed with him as he will now be spending another year at the club as they look to get back into winning ways next season.
