With all of the reports of vehicles issues, there is now a report of people not being able to use their Bluetooth service with their iPhone 6. If you are one of the people with this issue, you are not the only one. Based on the number of complaints reported on Apple’s forum, there is a bug that is preventing people from establishing a connection.
Because of this problem, there are consumers venting their frustration on Twitter, while others are creating discussion boards exclusively on this topic. Some are reporting that the Bluetooth is partially working, while others are saying it is not working at all. Some consumers have been able to play music through their car’s radio, but not able to send or receive a phone call.
Although not everyone is suffering from this defect, the complaints continue to flood in from individuals that have Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, BMW Acura, Nissan, Jeep, and Honda vehicles. One customer that drives a Mercedes-Benz, said the automobile maker’s customer service suggested that the connection could not work because the phone was not synchronized with their satellite navigation system. At the same time, there was no immediate confirmation from Mercedes-Benz about the case.
At first, there were some that thought the latest iOS software was the cause of the issues. But it was reported that Drivers that upgraded their iPhone 5 phones had no issues. This narrows the issue down to the iPhone 6. There was one customer that used her iPhone 5 in a 2010 Acura and never had any issues. When the customer tried to connect her iPhone 6, the phone stayed in discovery mode. It was unable to the vehicle, even if she was inside it. The customer even attempted to reset the phone to its factory settings and had no success.
