The Scotland international player Darren Fletcher will join Stoke City at the end of his current deal with West Bromwich Albion.
The ex- Manchester United Scot’s man has agreed to a deal to join Stoke City that will see him remain in the English top flight for another two years once his current deal with West Bromwich Albion expires.
“The decision to come here was really quick, but am very happy here,” Fletcher told Stoke’s official website.
“The atmosphere, the club, the fans, the manager, the staff and the players here are all amazing and I can’t really wait to be part of this great football club.
“I adore each time and great memories with Albion and I cherished every of my career days at Manchester United, but now am here and am looking forward to a new challenge, and I know have made the right choice for that next challenges.”
The potter’s manager Mark Hughes is happy to have sign experience Scot man Darren after a poor finish of 2016-17 campaign that saw them languishing at 13th place.
“Fletcher is a player and a professional at the game that I admired for some time now, and am happy have been an able to recruit him into our team to help us with his experience and am confident already about the experience he is going to bring the team,” Hughes said.
“He has displayed in previous campaigns that his desire and loved for the game has not changed a bit, and I am confidence of his professional knowledge, leadership qualities and experience in the game will be a huge success here at the club with us.”
Darren Fletcher was involved in the charity game for Michael Carrick charity’s game and is expected to play for a long time.
