Spotted: Meghan Markle arriving in Mumbai airport after charity trip

Prince Harry’s girlfriend Meghan Markle has been spotted, complete with a Henna tattoo on her hand, as she arrived in Mumbai airport following a charity trip to India. The actress, best known for her role in Suits, has been in Delhi for a five-day visit, during which she has promoted young women’s health and hygiene for World Vision Canada.

While Ms Markle is actually from California, she lives in Canada while she is filming the legal drama. She was dressed comfortably ready for her long-haul flight, in a black top with dark skinny jeans and a pair of white trainers. She also wore a khaki baseball cap and was carrying a matching jacket. It was not clear whether Ms Markle was heading straight back to Canada, or whether she was planning to stop off in London to see her beau.

High level talks

Ms Markle has taken part in a number of high level discussions with NGOs during her trip, including talking to Shamina Shafiq, who is a former member of the National Commission for Women. The relationship between Prince Harry and Ms Markle is understood to have quickly become serious, with the pair having bonded over a shared love of charity work.

Prince Harry’s mother Princess Diana was also an ambassador of World Vision. Earlier reports indicated that the trip would have to be cancelled as a result of security concerns. However, it is understood that the charity decided that her backing was so valuable that it paid for business class tickets to India, along with a security guard for Ms Markle.

It is the latest in a number of charity trips that Ms Markle has embarked upon. She has also gone to Rwanda as a World Vision Global Ambassador. She is helping the charity to encourage Canadian’s to support its aim of combating poverty and improving the lives of children across the globe.
