Ronaldo set to leave Real Madrid

It is alleged that Cristiano Ronaldo is looking to leave Real Madrid following an accusation of tax evasion and has informed the club of his decision.

The Spanish authorities had filed a case against Cristiano Ronaldo of cheating Spain out of millions of taxes, a claim that the Portuguese player has vehemently denied.

A source close to the player said to the BBC revealed that Ronaldo feels abused. “Ronaldo is an honest person, he has good morals and has done everything right.”

“His contract with Real Madrid has a 1 billion euro release clause. But he is indeed very upset and sad.”
“He has no intention of staying in Spain. Right now, he is thinking about leaving.”

Ronaldo joined Real Madrid from Manchester United in 2009 for a world record fee of 80 million pounds and put pen to paper for a 5-year deal last year.

China, Manchester United or Paris?

Although China is a very likely destination, it is not on the cards at the moment as his representatives have stated Ronaldo will like to remain in Europe. So he could likely move to France or head back to the English Premier League.

Ronaldo played a vital role in Real Madrid’s success this season as the club won the La Liga title and retained their UEFA Champions League title. But has decided to leave the club following a tax evasion case between the period of 2011 and 2014.

Real Madrid released a statement after the allegation was made public that they believe that he is innocent and would back him all the way.

Champions League Record Holder

Ronaldo currently holds the record for the highest goal scored in the history of the Champions League with 105 goals and is expected to win the Ballon D’Or this season.
