Emma Watson Confirms Joining The Disney Project On Facebook
The nerdy Hermione of Harry Potter series has grown up and how! Putting behind her the success the baggage of being associated with one of the most successful franchise of all time, Emma Watson has moved forward by leaps and bounds. The latest move by her was announced on Facebook and it said that she is set to be a part of live-action musical “Beauty and the Beast (2016)” from Disney. She will be playing the part of Belle and will show off her singing skills in the movie. She is even training for it. As the excited actress said, “I’m finally able to tell you… that I will be playing Belle in Disney’s new live-action Beauty and the Beast!”. “It almost feels surreal that I’ll get to dance to ‘Be Our Guest’ and sing ‘Something There’,” “Time to start some singing lessons.”
Disney Confirms Start Of Production
After Emma Watson gave the news to the world, Disney did not lag behind and put up a statement that said that the production for this new adaption of “Beauty and the Beast will start later in 2015. They also said that the adaption will be directed by Bill Condon, who had films like “The Twilight Saga’s Breaking Dawn Part I,” and “Dreamgirls” behind him.
Animated “Beauty And The Beast” Was Released In 1991
The first time that the iconic “Beauty and the Beast” was made in its animated form was in 1991. After that, it was adapted for Broadway. Condon has confirmed that the latest adaption will have scores and songs from the original movie. The other project on Watson’s hand is “Colonia” directed by Florian Gallenberger and it is about a couple during the Chilean military coup of 1973.
