In court papers accusing her estranged fourth husband of having hundreds of inappropriate photographs of children on his computer, Lisa Marie Presley describes herself as deeply in debt and just out of a treatment facility.

According to documents filed this month with California Superior Court in Los Angeles, their 8-year-old twin daughters are under the care of California child protective services.

Michael Lockwood, Presly’s husband, has not been charged and his lawyer claiming the accusations are inaccurate. The documents were related to Lockwood’s request for spousal support.

The court papers tell a tale of wastefulness and alleged fraud that has created a mess for Presley. However, it’s not clear why her daughters are in state custody.

Presley said in court papers that she has lived with her adult daughter since moving from Tennessee to California last year, she has also been in a treatment facility for undisclosed reasons. She and Lockwood separated after 10 years of marriage.

Shocking discovery:

Presley said that a trial has been scheduled at children’s court for March related to her discovery of “disturbing” photos and video on her husband’s computer.

“I was shocked and horrified and sick to my stomach,” she stated in court papers. Jeff Sturman, Lockwood’s lawyer, said that his client denied those “sensational” and “inaccurate” charges.

Lockwood called the charges distasteful and that Presley has placed more value on trying to damage his reputation than causing their daughters to suffer public humiliation, embarrassment and emotional distress.

Money negotiations:

Lockwood wants Presley to pay him $40,000 a month in spousal support and $100,000 in attorneys’ fees, claiming that he essentially gave up his musical career to work with her, a singer-songwriter.

Presley disclosed that she gets a $100,000 monthly inheritance check, she’s paid $4,300 a month and gets health insurance through her father’s estate. She also has a 15% stake in Elvis Presley Enterprises that is held in a trust. Elvis’ estate earns millions of dollars a year.

Presley claims that her funds were mishandled by a business manager and that she owes millions of dollars in credit card bills and back taxes. She said that her home in England is worth less than what she owes on it. She lives rent-free with her daughter and pays for two full-time nannies for her twins.

She said her estranged husband spent more than $1 million on her credit cards without her authorization, which he denies. Lockwood claims Presley has more money than she’s disclosing and that her persistence that he work only for her has destroyed his career.
